Dr. Dan Summerlin is a seasoned pastor, teacher, and leadership coach with more than 40 years of ministry experience, including nearly 21 years as senior pastor of Lone Oak First Baptist Church in Paducah, Kentucky. He has served in significant denominational leadership roles, including president of the Kentucky Baptist Convention and member of the Southern Baptist Convention Executive Committee, and is known for steady, thoughtful leadership in both church and nonprofit settings. Summerlin holds a psychology degree from the University of Alabama as well as Master of Divinity and Doctor of Theology degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Today, much of his work focuses on coaching and mentoring pastors, ministry leaders, churches, and nonprofit organizations in areas such as leadership, conflict management, productivity, stress, church growth, and organizational health.
